It has an orbital period of 33127 years. It has an inclination of 11.7º (untrigintile@11º37', 0º02' orb; cuartioctile@11º15', 0º24' orb). It has a diameter of about 110 km.

A stellar occultation occurred in October of 2018.

It reached the perihelion in November of 1745 (also in March of 1439). It reached the aphelion in February of 1899 (also in July of 1592).

Its orbit is located between the Kuiper belt and the nearest area of the scattered disc. It has a perihelion of 38.86 AU and an aphelion of 52.07 AU. The semimajor axis is at 45.46 AU. It has an orbital period of 306 years and 220 days. It has an inclination of 5.8º. It has a diameter of about 242 km.

African mythology

"Mbaba Mwana Waresa is a Zulu goddess of rain, agriculture, and the harvest. She is the goddess of rainbows, a symbol of the link between heaven and Earth. She is particularly revered for teaching the people of Southern Africa the art of making beer (Umqombothi)." (MPC 123452)

Mbaba Mwana Waresa lived in the sky, on a cloud in a house adorned with rainbows. While she was blessing the earth for a lot of rain, she played the bongo [African drum], the sound of which came in the form of distant thunders. She was the daughter of Umvelinqangi, god of heaven and the inner light of creation.

She had the ability to shapeshift, that is why she was also known as 'Nomkhubulwane', which means 'she who chooses the status of an animal'.

According to the legend, she was unable to find a suitable match in the heavens, so she descended to the lands of South Africa. During her tour, the sound of Thandiwe's beautiful song immediately captured her interest.

To prove his love, she sent a beautiful woman, while she became an old woman. However, he was not cheated and easily recognized her. The union began a stage of fruitful relationships between heaven and earth.

Gonggong, Chinese mythology for the object (225088) 2007 OR10

On February 5, 2020, the scattered disc object (225088) 2007 OR10 was oficially named (225088) Gonggong.

"Gonggong is a Chinese water god with red hair and a serpent-like tail. He is known for creating chaos, causing flooding, and tilting the Earth; he is often depicted with the head of a human and the body of a snake. Gonggong is often attended by his minister, Xiangliu, a nine-headed poisonous snake monster for whom the satellite is named." (MPC 121135)

Gong Gong traveled along the waterways, giving names to the rivers and conducting hydrological studies. During the time of the mythological emperor Shun, Gong Gong tamed the overflows that threatened to flood the kingdom.

On one occasion, Gong Gong fought against Zhuan Xu for the throne of the empire. His battle was so fierce that the entire universe lost its balance; reason why all the rivers flow to the east.

Xiang Liu was a minister of Gong Gong, who also participated in the fight between the line of the Red Emperor and that of the Yellow Emperor.

 
According to some ancient texts, Gong Gong was one of the Three Sovereigns, wich, together with the Five Emperors, constituted the mythological rulers of China before the first Xia dynasty. Traditionally they were credited with the foundation of Chinese civilization and the invention of social, cultural and economic institutions.

Arrokoth, Powhatan language for the object (486958) 2014 MU69

On November 12, 2019, the classical Kuiper belt object (486958) 2014 MU69 was oficially named (486958) Arrokoth:

“'Arrokoth' is the word for 'sky' from the Powhatan language of native people from the Chesapeake Bay region. Institutions in this region played a prominent role in facilitating the discovery and exploration of this ancient and distant object.” (MPC 118222)

The pronunciation and meaning of the word ‘arrokoth’ are not entirely clear, since the language became extinct at the end of the 18th century, before the studies could be completed. The only record of that word was compiled between 1610 and 1611 by the English writer William Strachey, who had a decent ear but bad handwriting, which greatly hindered the reading of his notes. In 1975, Siebert made the comparison with other Algonquian languages to reinterpret Strachey's annotations, deciphering the words ‘arrokoth’ and ‘arrahgwotuwss’, such as ‘sky’ and ‘clouds’ respectively.

Lori Glaze, director of the Division of Planetary Science at NASA, said that the name Arrokoth means the strength and resistance of the Algonquian indigenous people, from which we have inherited the light that guides all those who seek the meaning and understanding of origins of the universe and the celestial connection of humanity.

Binary contact object, in which the two lobes gravitated together, progressively approaching, until they were joined.

(486958) Arrokoth is a classical dwarf object of the Kuiper belt in 5:6 resonance with Pluto, discovered in June 2014.

It reached the perihelion in July of 1757 (also in November of 1459). It reached the aphelion in May of 1906 (also in September of 1608).

The orbit is located at the center of the Kuiper belt. It has a perihelion of 42.72 AU and an aphelion of 46.44 AU. The semimajor axis is at 44.58 AU. It has an orbital period of 297 years and 243 days. It has an inclination of 2.5º. It has a diameter of about only 36 km (22 km + 15 km).

Stellar occultations occurred in June-July 2017 and in August 2018.

Its discovery came during the search for potential candidates to be explored by the New Horizons probe, after finishing their passage through Pluto. Arrokoth was selected as a target in August 2015, reaching it in January 2019.

Astrologically, Arrokoth is related with search processes that require a subsequent, rather laborious, phase of review and evaluation of the results, as happened during its discovery and during the assignment of its official name.

On August 27, 2019, the scattered disc object (472235) 2014 GE45 was oficially named (472235) Zhulong:

"Zhulong, also called 'Torch Dragon', is a mythological creature with a human face and scarlet serpent body [very intense red color]. It controlled the day and night of the world by opening and closing its eyes. It is described in classic Chinese literature as shining a torch over the ninefold darkness [darkness multiplied by nine]. Name suggested by students at the National Dali School." (M.P.C.115895).

(472235) Zhulong is a scattered disc object (medium aphelion), in 1:5 resonance with Uranus, discovered in April of 2014. There are prediscovery images back to February-January of 2014, April of 2013, December of 2012, April of 2012, February of 2012, June-May of 2011, May-April of 2000. It was spotted without being identified in April of 2011.

It reached the perihelion in May of 1610 and it will do it again in September of 2029. It reached the aphelion in January of 1820 (also in September of 1400).

The orbit it is located at the intermediate zone of the scattered disc. It has a perihelion of 32.72 AU and an aphelion of 79.31 AU. The semimajor axis is at 56.02 AU. It has an orbital period of 419 years and 117 days. It has an inclination of 0.8º. It has a diameter of about 230 km..

Through behavior, Zhulong externalizes internal emotions towards the environment, causing resonance.
