(15807) 1994 GV9, statistical sampling

(15807) 1994 GV9 is a classical Kuiper belt object discovered in April of 1994. It has a perihelion of 41.3 AU and an aphelion of 46.7 AU. It has a diameter of about 145 km. It is the second cubewano to be given an official Minor Planet Centre catalogue number [(15760) 1992 QB1 [Albion] it is the first].

By the time of the discovery of (15807) 1994 GV9, a few years later of the end of the cold war (1990-1991), the military satellites begin to be used partially for scientific purposes at the planet Earth [MEDEA - Measurements of Earth Data for Environmental Analysis], like studying and registering information of nature and ecosystems.

From a representative statistical sampling of a population, (15807) 1994 GV9 makes analysis and obtains conclusion that can be extrapolated to the global population.

"Uncovered" (1994)

The main theme of (15807) 1994 GV9 is sampling, like in the movie "The Bone Collector" (1999) and TV Series "CSI. Crime - Scene - Investigation." (2000).

"Mulan" (1998)

In the movie "Speed" (1994) there are three examples of symbolic sampling: the golden watch, the logo of the Arizona university, and the one minute video loop.

Theodor Landscheidt has (15807) 1994 GV9 (conjunct Chariklo) in the cusp of the 10th house in the House Horoscope.

(120348) 2004 TY364, detecting small changes

(120348) 2004 TY364 is a Kuiper belt object discovered in October of 2004. It has a perihelion of 36.2 AU and an aphelion of 41.3 AU. It has a diameter of about 550 km. There is a prediscovery image back to July of 1983.

A symbolic image of (120348) 2004 TY364 are the obvious small changes of a flower when we make a daily serial static photographs.

(120348) 2004 TY364 works like a rotation radar detector that is periodically supervising the same area and detects small changes, like a medical investigation or psychological evaluation, were the subjects are periodically checkup, like the family photography in the movie "Back to the Future" (1985) or the main character of the movie "Zelig" (1983). An other example are the small psychological changes of Luck at the end of the movie "Star Wars: Episode VI - The Return of the Jedi" (1983), when he is approaching to the dark side.

Other related movies are "50 First Dates" (2004) and "The Day of Tomorrow" (2004).
