(7066) Nessus, establishing contact with the Soul and acting according to its will

(7066) Nessus is related with the inner opening towards the connection with the Soul and the development of inner firmness to act according to its will.

A great change related with the integration between the will of the personality and that of the Soul it is felt in so much advance. There is a fluid sensation of inner orientation, which is as well in correspondence with personal values and ideals (9:13 resonance with Uranus), like it happens in the pre-fusion phase between Kusanagui and the Puppet Master in manga-anime "Ghost in the Shell " (1991; 1995).

An interview with Philip Zimbardo, blind obedience to authority

Philip Zimbardo:
Since I was little, I always believed in the power of the situation to shape people, for better or for worse. My experiment is like a Greek tragedy: what happens if you put good people in an evil place? Do good people dominate and change the evil of the place, or does bad place corrupt even the good? Milgram's experiment, which preceded mine, had to do with the power of the situation, but with a strong authority that put pressure on someone to hurt another person.

Sure. In the Milgram experiment, a very significant number of people, some 1,000, participated in the United States, with ages between 20 and 50 years. They were not students, but ordinary citizens. Mostly men. To summarize, the experimenter told participants: "we want to help improve people's memory. We will do it in the following way: you will be the teacher and he will be the apprentice, and when he does something right, perfect; but, when he makes a mistake, you will apply electric shocks, because we want to see if this improves learning." Everything started with a good ideology: that science wanted to help improve memory, so the participants believed that they were doing something good. There was a device with switches to activate the discharges, and the first one supposedly applied (because the apprentice was actually an actor) was 15 volts. From there, each increase was 15 volts: 15, 30, 45 ... but suddenly, when it reached 100, the actor began to shout from the other room: "I leave, I can not anymore"... If the participant was good, he turned to the experimenter and said: "Sir, who will be responsible if something happens?" The answer was: "I take responsibility, I am the expert, you have to continue". And now it was 100, 200 volts ... The other one was screaming and shouting ... And so on up to 450 volts, the maximum.

Well, at least to knock him out. When they reached 375, there was a scream and then silence. And the participant said: "Sir, something is wrong". But it was answered: "You have to continue". Milgram asked forty psychiatrists what percentage of US citizens believed they would apply 450 volts. His answer was that 1%, only sadists. However, they were wrong. Two out of every three people made it to the end! Even if the other shrieked, even if he said, "I want to leave, I have heart problems!" This is called blind obedience to authority. The experiment showed that, from a young age, we are taught to obey authority. And normally the authority is good: the parents, the priest, the rabbi ... but we do not know what to do when someone good becomes bad: when a teacher is cruel to the students, or a father abuses his children ... And Milgram showed that the most people could easily cross the line between good and evil, with good intentions, and say, "I'm helping this person", but they helped him by killing him.

(7066) Nessus, doing what oneself thinks is correct without leting be influenced by the pressure of the group

In Greek mythology, Nessus was a famous centaur who was killed by Heracles, but whose tainted blood in turn killed Heracles.

Nessus was one of the Centaurs who fought against the Lapiths, at the wedding of Peirithous and Hippodameia. When the Lapiths drove out the Centaurs out of their kingdom, most fled to Mount Pholus at Aracadia. Nessus, instead, headed west to the Evenus River in Aetolia, where he becomed a ferryman.

Years later, Nessus encountered the hero Heracles, who was leaving Aetolia with his wife, Deïaneira. Nessus offered to ferry Deianeira across the Evenus. Heracles accepted and went ahead, but Nessus --that wanted revenge for the centaurs killed by Heracles-- tried to rape Deianeira. Heracles saw this from across a river and shot a poisoned arrow into Nessus's breast. Dying, Nessus instructed Deianeira to keep his blood to ensure that Heracles would be true to her forever. Deianeira didn't know the poison that killed Nessus, came from the deadly venom of the Hydra.

Later, when her trust began to wane, she spread the centaur's blood on a shirt and gave it to her husband. Heracles went to a gathering of heroes, where his passion got the better of him. Meanwhile, Deianeira accidentally spilled a portion of the centaur's blood onto the floor. To her horror, it began to fume by the light of the rising sun. She instantly recognized it as poison and sent her messenger to warn Heracles but it was too late. Heracles lay dying slowly and painfully as the shirt burned his skin—either in actual flames or by the heat of poison."

In this myth is reflected the esoteric activity of (7066) Nessus and its connection with the cosmic laws of the universe (7:3 resonance with Varuna).

The firmness of (7066) Nessus does not exist from the beginning, it is rather a process of inner opening, in which the pressure of the group is overcome to do what oneself considers as correct (15:11 resonance with Neptune), like in the movies "Schindler's List" (1993), "Philadelphia" (1993) and "Red Corner" (1997).

In the TV series "X-Files" (1992), initially Dana Scully was asigned to the x-files with the objective of refute Fox Mulder's theories, but once she gets in the investigation and the truth of the evidence, she turns in upholding Mulder in front of their chiefs.

(7066) Nessus is a centaur discovered in April of 1993. It reached the perihelion in January of 1992. It was oficially named is April of 1997.

The orbit is located between the zone of orbital piercing from Saturn toward Uranus, and the Kuiper belt. It has a perihelion of 11.78 AU and an aphelion of 37.16 AU. The semimajor axis is at 24.47 AU. It has an orbital period of 121 years. It has an inclination of 15.6º. It has a diameter of about 60 km.

Integration of scientist and spy

According to dynamical systems theory, all centaurs are chaotic, but (7066) Nessus has one of the lowest Lyapunov exponent, because Saturn and the Kuiper belt are both limit cycle attractors, and the differences are only between the personal-material and the transpersonal-spiritual dimensions.

By the time of the discovery of (7066) Nessus, a few years after the end of the cold war (1990-1991), began a collaboration project between scientists (Saturn) and spies (Kuiper belt), as the military satellites began to be used partially for scientific purposes [MEDEA, Measurements of Earth Data for Environmental Analysis], like studying nature and ecosystems. (7066) Nessus combines the 'high artificial intelligence' of the Kuiper belt with the 'physical intelligence' of Saturn. This combination is typical of activities were physical action requires complex thinking processes, especially the strategic teamwork coordination, like the cyborg Motoko Kusanagui as the especial forces in the movie "Ghost in the Shell" (1995).
