(5145) Pholus, change of beliefs as paranormal evidence is discovered

"The Force is what gives a Jedi his power.
It's an energy field created by all living things.
It surrounds us, penetrates us, and binds the galaxy together."
(Obi-Wan Kenobi, 1977)

(5145) Pholus is a centaur discovered in January of 1992 and named in 1996. There are prediscovery images back to January of 1991, November of 1989, August of 1982 and July of 1977.

The orbit is between Saturn and Neptune, but goes beyond both orbits, getting into the Jupiter's and the Kuiper belt's influence. It has a perihelion of 8.7 AU and an aphelion of 32.0 AU. It has a diameter of about 185 km.

Greek mythology

Pholus was the keeper of a barrel of wine. He invited Heracles, but --unlike Pholus-- the wine's smell, after the barrel was opened, drove crazy the wild centaurs around. Heracles began shooting at them with the Hydra poisoned arrows and killed them.

Because of the large size of the bodies, Pholus asked him self how a centaur could die by such a small arrow. He approached to one of them and picked up the arrow to examine it carefully, but slip out of his hands to his foot and killed him instantly.

(5145) Pholus feels fascinated with mystery and everything about the unconscious or paranormal phenomena and has the courage to investigate it, but has a cautiousness approach, like in the TV Series "X-Files" (1992).

The most impressive of Dana Scully in the TV series "File-X" (1992), is the fluidity with which adapts its beliefs as she uncovers evidence that is out of what is established by the Science (resonance 11:12 with Uranus).

Gertrude Evans Cayce, wife of Edgar Cayce and conductor of the readings during deep hypnosis, has Pholus in Aquarius in the Crossing Point of the Age Progressions (Basis Horoscope / Moon-Node Horoscope).
